RaceNet is the Game Extension Platform and Community Hub for Codemasters Racing games.
Overview
RaceNet was launched in 2012, with support for Dirt: Showdown. Over the next few years, it would grow to support additional titles, including Grid 2, Grid: Autosport, F1 2012, 2013 & 2014, F1: Racestars, Dirt: Rally, to include multiple mobile applications and to have over 1 million active users. I led a team of UX & UI designers, Full-stack Engineers and a PMs to design, build, expand and maintain the service.RaceNet acted as the game and community hub for Codemasters games, with asynchronous messaging, achievements, notifications and activity feed. Each game had deep, unique two-way functionality such as tournament generators, livery designers and custom challenges, as well as shared platform features such as clubs, friends and local leaderboards.

RaceNet - Design & Launch
RaceNet was initially launched as a suite of features for Dirt Showdown. After initial success, I was hired to expand the features into a Service, and expanding it to include all new Codemasters games. I headed up the branding, visual direction and design for the product, working with game teams to define the scope and featureset for the product. Eventually I came to manage both Design, PM and Engineering for this team, taking on the role of Prouct Owner. Over 2.5 years RaceNet grew to support 7 games, providing platform features such as friends, messaging and clubs, and to boast over 1.2 million active users. RaceNet was attributed to the exceptional longevity and success of the titles it supported.
